    I have been experiencing a lot of issues regarding the Xbox PC App that have now bled into...


    So, as the title suggests, I have experienced a lot of issues with Xbox's PC app, namely being that I cannot download, uninstall, cancel or pause anything in my download section through the app. Among many of my attempts to rectify this issue, I have attempted to delete the Xbox Games folder on my C:\ drive, only to find out that only System has the right to do that. Whenever I try to change anything relating to the folder, from privileges to existence, I am met with the same message. I have tried all of the thing suggested by a google search, including but not limited to safe mode, sfc/scannow, messing with access privileges, and uninstalling and resetting/repairing anything associated with Xbox. This has been going on for a few weeks now and I know I am not the only one. What do I do?

    Thank you for your response. I am currently running Windows 11, Version 22H2, OS Build 2261.1992.

    I do not believe I am part of the Insider program, and my Xbox PC App versions are as follows: 2307.1001.5.0 - 13.78.12002.0 (Gaming Services) - 5.823.3261.0 (Xbox Game Bar).

    I have not been able to install externally as I do not have an SSD (yet) but that is on my list.

    Hello Jermaelle,

    Can move to Xbox Insider program (which you can move out later) and see if this fixes the issue.

    To get started on a Windows device:

    1. Press the Start button, type store, and then select Microsoft Store.
    2. Select Search, enter insider in the box, and then select Xbox Insider Hub.
    3. Select Get or Install.

    1. What is the current version and edition of your Windows OS?

      You can search for WINVER, run it to see the information, and then paste the screenshot here.
    2. Are you part of the Xbox Insider program?
    3. What is the current version of the Xbox App installed?
    4. Have you tried installing through external storage?

    Once we receive your answers to the questions above, we may suggest additional troubleshooting measures.
