I have been console banned but I haven't had any suspensions before. What can I do about this?

You can find information about console bans at https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/family-online-safety/enforcement/xbox-live-device-bans but there's no way to have one overturned.

What is it with all the console bans these days, I can honestly say I've never had any sort of ban.

I don't know what you've done to warrant a console ban, but that isn't going to be lifted.

Oh and by the way, just because its your birthday it doesn't mean that Microsoft will lift a ban, grow up and learn from your mistake, except your punishment and move on. Either buy another Xbox or choose one of the rivals consoles.

A lot of them are actually console privilege suspensions.

Basically people get a suspension on their main account so use a secondary account to avoid that suspension which is against the code of conduct.

The enforcement team have now started giving out console privilege suspensions to stop people from doing this which means any account on that console suffers the same punishment as the suspended account.People don't know the difference between a ban & a
suspension so often say they've been banned when they haven't.

Any enforcement action would be handled through the enforcement teams website so you would need to sign into the account at enforcement.xbox.com

It will give you any information on enforcement actions that have been applied to that particular account.

The enforcement team does not monitor these forums.

If you feel the account was suspended wrongly then you can file for a case review there.

Now keep in mind also there is a such thing as a console ban that any profile signed into that console will not be able to do certain things like communicate this is to prevent people that have had a communications suspension on one account from just creating
a new account and playing on it while waiting out the other accounts suspension.

I looked at that link, and was in fact there before winding up here, and I do not see anywhere to appeal. It says my record is clean, and my console was not banned nor have I ever had a banned console. I received this within minutes
of making this account.

Could you tell me where on the linked webpage is the appeal section?

If you do not see an orange hammer on the account that you are signed into at the websites main page. Then that means that the console itself has a ban on it and will not show up in the website and you will not be able to file for a case review on that type
of suspension.

Have you had a previous account that may have been on that console that has an active suspension on that account that may have caused the console itself to be banned.

From everything that you have described it sounds like the console itself has been banned.

You can try and contact xbox support by going to support.xbox.com/contact-us and if they can verify an account that was put onto that console they can tell you for sure if the console is suspended. Their system will show if the account has ever been on a
console that has been suspended before.

I think you're mixing some things up. Console bans are permanent bans for the console hardware. Which means, that the console itself is banned from connecting to Xbox Live, and never ever will be again. So console bans don't usually end. But that means,
that accounts from that console (unless there is a separate suspension) can sign in on any other console that is not banned, and use Xbox Live normally.

Console bans usually happen because the hardware was modified to violate the Xbox Live Terms of Use (e.g. to enable cheating and modding in games or to play illegal copies of a game), or when A LOT of games have been fraudulently downloaded from the marketplace,
or if MANY accounts have been created on the console which have been banned individually, and harassment from accounts on that console haven't stopped.

What issue is Rxlltide experiencing? Can that gamertag not send messages? Can Rxlltide not play online? Can Rxlltide send messages on the

Ok so now my suspensions have been lifted on and I can connect to Xbox Live again, but now I still cannot talk to people through party chat or send messages on either account. I'd really just like to know why at this point because as to what I
can see, I have no suspensions whatsoever

Billing & Subscriptions and "I don't recognize a charge" will usually get you in touch with support. While they can tell you how long your suspension is, they do not have information about why you were suspended and cannot lift suspensions.

I've been reading through the forums and there appears to be dozens of posts about being randomly banned. And others who are saying that the enforcement site is having issues and issuing bans that may not be legit. Is the ban system automated in any way? Can this be a glitch in the system?

I admit that I've been banned before and I accepted it because I deserved it, but this time, I don't think I do. It's more than a little bit annoying.
