    I have an Xbox 360 E shuts down when hdmi is connected


    I have an Xbox 360 E with corona motherboard and when i turn it on it boots up fine, when i connect the hdmi port to the tv it stays on but when i switch to hdmi on the tv and complete the connection, it shows the resolution it is displaying in down on the tv and then shuts down and leaves a red dot. Sometimes i turn it on and it works and even displays correctly but after about 5 minutes it shuts down and this time the ring stays green but with a red dot, can you please help me out?

    I found the solution, there was an IC on the motherboard that wasn't securely soldered to the motherboard and whenever i applied pressure on it,the console booted up and worked. Now i re soldered The ic and the console is running properly i even played games for hours

    Hello Makoba, sorry to hear you're having trouble.

    I'm afraid it sounds like you're getting the dreaded red light of death. My recommendation here would be to check if your local gaming store has a repair service as the 360 is no longer supported for repairs.
