Would you mind giving this a try?

- Press and hold your controller's Xbox button until it shuts down. This usually takes around 10 seconds.
- Remove the controller's batteries and USB cable (if plugged in).
- Press and hold your console's power button until it shuts down.
- Unplug your console's power cord for 5 minutes.
- Plug your power cord back in. If possible, please use one of the wall's outlets.
- Put the batteries back in your controller.
- Turn the console on and verify if the issues persist.

If that doesn't work, I'd appreciate it if you could answer the following questions.

- May I ask which Xbox model you are using?
- Have you verified if the same happens when using a USB cable with your controller?
- Do you have any external devices plugged into your console's Expansion Card (Series S/X) or USB ports?
- Are you able to reach the controller's menu to see if there are any pending updates for it?

I have the Xbox one and I already updated it the controller but I will check if your suggestion will work

If your controller has the share button located below the view and menu buttons, then it is an Xbox Series X|S controller. If it does not have a share button, then it is more than likely an Xbox One controller. When looking for third-party accessories going forward, be sure verify that it is compatible with the official Xbox Series X|S controller and not the Xbox One controller, unless you are purchasing an accessory for the Xbox One controller.
