I have a Xbox Elite Series Wireless Controller 2, my "A" button sticks when i press it

Hello everyone, i had purchased a Xbox Series Wireless Controller 2. It is still under warranty till 12/12/2023. Lately i have been facing an issues specifically with "A" button. Whenever i press the button it tends to stick and then pops out on its own. Can anyone please help me with a solution or if i can give this controller for service.

I only use the controller for specific games and i do not use it too much but not too rarely as well.

Any solution is helpful.

These problems are easy to solve

First Clean the Button Sometimes dirt or debris can build up under the button and cause it to get stuck. With the controller turned off, you can try gently cleaning around the "A" button with compressed air or a cotton swab lightly moistened with ********* alcohol. Be sure not to get the controller too wet and to let it dry completely before turning it on.

Check controller settings Make sure the controller settings on your console or PC are properly calibrated. You can access the controller settings in the Xbox console or in Windows settings, depending on where you are using it. Make sure there are no incorrect settings or button assignments that may be causing the problem.

Also make sure the controller firmware is up to date. You can do this using the Xbox Accessories app on your Xbox console or through the Xbox Accessories app on Windows 10. Check to see if firmware updates are available for your controller and follow the instructions to install them.

Now, this advance Controller offers exclusive option to create profile to customize button mapping that you can do using Xbox Accessories app. Here are steps on how to create a controller profile:

Using your Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2, open the Xbox Accessories app.
Scroll to the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2, then select Configure.
Select New profile, give your profile a name, then configure your changes. For example, if you reassign D-pad down  on the face of the controller to the Y button , then the D-pad down  will act as the Y button  going forward.
When you’re done, press the B button  for the changes to take effect.

Create multiple profiles in the app and switch between them using the built-in Profile button.

Open the Xbox Accessories app, scroll to the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2, then select Configure.
In Profiles, select a controller profile you’ve created or create a new one.
Choose a slot.

You can assign a slot for up to three profiles. Press the Profile button on the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller 2 to switch between them. When no bars appear lit below the Profile button, the controller is using the default button mapping.

Assign Shift key button:

Assign buttons to act as shortcuts for system actions like “Record that” and “Take screenshot.” When you select a button to remap, choose Primary or Shift, go to the Action tab, then choose an action from the list. When you’re done, press the B button  for the changes to take effect.

Note System actions are currently not available on Windows 10.

I'm sorry to here that sadly I had my elite series 2 controller do the same thing, it started with the x button and then the bumpers, I noticed stick drift of both the sticks, sadly when I went to the store to exchange it for another one they had no
elite series 2 controllers in stock, I switched to the Razer wolverine ultimate edition and so far its a great controller

Thanks for the reply. The Elite controller series 2 has various methods of mapping the buttons and paddles as compared to the series 1. If you haven't done so already, I recommend taking a look at the following support articles that
