I have a very possibly effective solution to stopping scalpers from taking all xbox sales

Perhaps if Microsoft provided a promotion that allowed Xbox live gold members who have a gold subscription that is a MINIMUM of 3 months old to have early access to purchase or pre-order 1 console and 1 console only through the Microsoft store that would allow individuals that do intend to actually use the product they purchase to BYPASS SCALPERS. That way Microsoft can heavily limit and prevent scalpers from taking xboxs in order to make a profit and people that actually play Xbox have a chance to obtain 1 for personal use.

This covers the following points to stop scalpers:

• Only individuals that actively use and play Xbox can purchase through the promotion. This is proven by having not just an Xbox gold subscription, but the subscription also has to be active for at least 3 months. Showing they do use Xbox and their services, and scalpers can't just make a temporary Xbox gold account to gain access to the promotion.
  
• Even if a scalper manages to fill this criteria, they are only able to obtain 1 console through their account because the sale is still limited to 1 console per person.
  
• This allows every individual that intends to actually use the xbox (and not just resell it for profit) a chance to obtain one for personal use. And this promotion could either be permanent or temporary because the number of people that meet these criteria are limited to an exact number of people. It could allow pre-orders of even just a basic xbox series x let alone the limited halo infinite edition and won't prevent people outside of this promotion from their chance of getting one through the currently existing means.
  
• This could also be restricted even further by limiting the sale to only be capable of being processed through only the Microsoft store using an Xbox one and NOT through the online Microsoft store via computer, mobile, or from an Xbox series x (because if they are already on the Xbox series x attempting this transaction they clearly already possess one). This last point is purely optional of course for marketing reasons however it would limit scalpers even further by limiting their means of access to the promotion yet again.
