    Will the disc for the game work with the xbox 360?

    it is a xbox disc, not xbox 360 disc

    recently i bought an original xbox disc copy of need for speed underground

    Need for Speed Underground is not supported only Need for Speed Underground 2 sorry.

    Yes it is. But does it work from the disc?

    Yes it should work from the disc. Bear in mind that to play the game you will need an official Xbox 360 hard drive as well, that's because that is the only drive with the required software to play xbox originals.
