I think some of the updates installed certain DLC's to your HDD. Ever notice how, if you don't the DLC it's included in, you can still pick up and use a DLC weapon? The data is already on your HDD, you just can't access it without a license. If you had to
do the stupid-long updates, you probably already have most of the DLC data on your HDD. I think End Game is the only one that needs to downloaded.

Yer, you are going to need a lot of space if you want to download all the DLC's. I recommend that if you are running out of space you delete or transfer some of the data (games or apps you don't use) from your Xbox hard drive.

the dlcs are for multiplayer, if your silver you're not going to be able to play, and when you go gold and play online, you're going to need a lot of HD space for all the DLC at least 32gb for everything installed to the HD. you can put it on a flash drive
and if you do then a 32GB USB flash drive that is USB 3.0 will be fast and its backward compatible to USB 2.0 on the xbox.

I think you do NOT need updates 4,5, and the latest MP update. All others you will need and any DLC you get.
