I have a problem, the xbox app closes instantly when I open it, can anyone help me?

Please try the steps one at a time to resolve the issue.

Solution 1: Repair and reset the Gaming Services app, Xbox app and the Microsoft Store app.

Please go to Settings > Apps > Apps Features. Select Gaming Services, then click Advanced options. Click the repair button and reset button, do the same for the Xbox app and Microsoft Store app, try launching the app, and see if it works.

Solution 2: Uninstall and reinstall the Gaming Services App

Select the Search icon on the taskbar, type powershell, right-click on Windows PowerShell, and then select Run as administrator.

In Windows PowerShell, type the following command and press Enter:

get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

In the same window, type the following command and press Enter:

start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

Install the app on that page and select Yes when you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt.

Restart your device and try launching the app, and see if it works.

Solution 3:

Please open the PowerShell in admin mode and paste the following below:

Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers| Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

I have the same issue, but it only came up when i got me the game Minecraft beta for windows 10, before that i never had any problems with the Xbox app.

Sometimes i can sign in and if i close the game and open it again this sign in problem appears and i have to wait a long while till i can play again.

If it`s help my version of Xbox app is 11.13.6008.00000

I have the same problem of the xbox app instantly crashing when trying to open. I've tried to fix it, looking at alot of guides online hasn't helped me.

Trouble shooter dosen't give me anything.

I'm running Lenovo Y700 laptop (all lenovo Y100-700 has had a problem relating to xbox) with windows 10. No updates to be done, everything is updated to the newest version (bios, system as a whole).

hi im having problems with my xbox 360 slender,the disc drive keeps opening and closing to fast and doesnt give me time to insert a game disc and when it does i can only play around 20 minutes and the disc drive door opens itsellf and then it goes black
and will return to the dashboard and says it open and its not open anyone have any ideas what the problem could be

OK update. Still trying to get this disc drive to open, I opened it and all (as in taken the medal casing off), same problems but I feel as if I am making some sort of progress... I use a flat head screwdriver to pretty much pull it open and then the light
in the middle of xbox starts flashing as if I ejected it but it doesn't close or open on it's own still and still says "opening" then goes to "closing" when trying to close but flashes back to "opening". I posted this just in case anyone could maybe help me
