    Yep, cleaned the cache, not that there should have been anything.

    My xbox was brand new.

    Did you try clearing your cache. If not try doing that.. i honestly dont know why this is happing to you but if you can't get this thing resolve i strongly recommend you call xbox support to get this thing straight out so you can

    game online with your brother.

    the billing process in which your account was setup as is the problem if you where setup on yearly or monthly bases and you change it then the system doesnt acknowledge it, you need to call 18004myxbox and have them change your billing options so you can
    use the one month card, that is all.

    Can you try and run an Xbox LIVE Connection test on your console. This should update your account. Let us know if the problem continues



    To do this, press the Guide button on your controller, go to
