I have a confusing issue with my headset

For some reason, my headset will not work with my Xbox. It is a headset that was made for Xbox and I have previously bought the same pair with no issues. Until recently, I've had to restart my entire Xbox to get the headset working and since this morning my headset will not work at all. I've tried it with my phone and a different console with no issues, I have also tried to connect my brother's headset (which works fine) and connected my headset after, it still wouldn't work. I've tried everything I can and I have no clue what to do. I'm not sure if I'll have to buy a whole new headset, but this headset isn't even a week old.

Got it. To isolate the problem, if you connect a wired headset to the controller, does the same happen?

Yes, the issue persists. What really confuses me is how my friend has the exact same RIG headset and his works with no issues.

Sorry for the late edit on the post. The link I posted are the headsets I have which are the ones with the stereo adapter is also being affected by the issue. Again I apologize for the confusion I'm causing.

I am a convert from playstation and i am still confused why i need an adapter and a cable to get mic chat to work with my wireless headset. is everyone just used to having to connect a cable from their headset to the controller? i really hate this.

the headset base is connected to the xb1 via usb... this seems like a software issue to me, if i can transmit audio wirelessly why can chat not be transmitted to the base and by extension the xb1?
