i have a ban i know it can't be undone by you here i just want guidance on what to do.

I have a suspension that is 28 hours and I don't have the option for an appeal, I also have no clue why I have received this suspension, I've tried to get in contact with xbox support but they keep sending me to the virtual agent instead of actually letting me explain myself to real Xbox employee.

And this sort of thing can happen even if you told somebody to leave you alone for causing problems for you, either on that platform or somewhere else. Xbox Live enforcement team aren't very good at reviewing their reports it appears, they don't care who is in the wrong or that there's an outside chance that someone may have did something to cause being scolded for it in a message, they can forcibly remove a message and even temporary suspend you anyway.

Meanwhile, toxic people can remain on their platform for years and never receive a single enforcement action against them, and we're expected to not respond, but just block those people. I don't trust this platform, the next suspension could be for uploading or emailing a copyrighted image for the purposes of discussion or something like that with friends and it may end up being permanent. the very fact you could lose an account for something like this is an issue itself. With regards to arguing with people online, Microsoft needs to realize this is going to happen, it's life, you can't just expect people to just sit and take the abuse without a reaction, that isn't how life works. And sometimes blocking somebody isn't enough, like in my case, I've had to deal with the same person multiple times in the past, and over the past year I've told a friend to not ask me to add that other person ever again, as I've had just about enough of that individual who kept attacking me and my friends just because they don't agree with his misinformed opinions.

Contact the place you bought it from for a refund or exchange.

is it against the terms of services to bypass it by purchasing a new xbox i should be receiving inheritance to purchase that i can use but don't wish to waste money in doing so

is there a way i can suggest an improvement for the device ban policy as for each of the things its used for i see an alternate punishment that doesn't waste the money of the person who was banned. i get that implementing this would take work on Microsoft's behalf but if they do truly care about the community and mental health like is claimed all over the platform such systems would be implemented. The complaint is attached here so i can be sure it makes sense but also hyperfixating on something helps to keep me in check.

Alternative punishments

sexual content/ nudity or repeated chat based violations should obviously equate to a permanent chat ban not the whole device.

repeated cheating should equate to a ban on online multiplayer gaming.

modifying a console to bypass an existing ban or for piracy/ third party software obviously should be a device ban

I'm also appalled by the fact any microsoft account balanced is cleared Upon a ban being implemented instead of it being refunded in my opinion that is not only a sleesy work ethic but verry disheartening to people who unlike me actually have a Microsoft account balance. Atleast send an email with steps to reclaim any acount balance even if it's limited so you can only reclaim it if it's over a certain amount over a certain amount.

Personal link to the problem

i say this as i have had an account banned without it being set as my home xbox so i can't play the games i purchased even whilst offline and despite the fact it is a shared account/console i am the primary user due to my mental poor health. i have documents that show that first i am easily manipulated contributing to my ban in the first place but also my history of lashing out and becoming aggressive when having a problem i can't escape from my only coping mechanism being gaming so i think a change in policy is good for not only people like me but also those that share a household with them.

sorry once again i know this not the place for these complaints and that my views are irrelevant to a company trying to fill there pockets. (i also apologise for potentially ofending anyone i am well known for saying it how i see it and i often come off as rude despite never intending to do so ). i have no idea were to post this kind of thing and being a student representative at college (somehow) i can't help but try and come up with a solution to any problems i see and on the off chance my complaint is addressed it could help to maintain a positive mental state in the lives of many vulnerable children, teens and adults alike.
