i have 16 profiles on my xbox 360 but there are two profiles on there that says missy and josie

Backwards compatibility question

You can login, make sure you are logged into a profile on your xbox one, then hit the back and start (view and menu) buttons in x360 mode... That brings up the option to sign into profiles and download profiles.

Even if you use another xbox 360 it should let you login to a xbox 360 profile and it should just say it was last signed in on another system. I'd make sure you are signed into a profile, if you are trying splitscreen stuff make sure your friend signs into his xbox one profile before then signing into his xbox 360 profile.

Awkward, but it works. Been busting up borderlands splitscreen in bc for a couple days.

Gold on 360 and One

Hi all,

So the situation is this. My eldest had a 360 in his bedroom and younger two have one downstairs. Eldest has gold against his profile and one of my other lad has gold on his profile downstairs.

I'm buying Xbox one for Christmas to replace the 360 downstairs. I will put this against my profile and I've read that all profiles on the One can use the gold access. So far so good.

I've also read that this same live account running on the One can be used on another 360. So My question is, can my eldest son use my Xbox live gold on his 360 but against his gamer profile? I'm guessing not and to access live gold on his own profile he''ll need his own gold account?

Probably not described it very well but basically can we have just one gold account between a One and a 360 where only my eldest will use the360 with his own gamer profile.

Hi there,

On the console, go to Settings > System > Storage > Profiles. Go to the profile you want to delete and select delete.

Couple things could be causing this.

1. Password longer then 16 characters. 360s including the emulator on the one does not like passwords longer then 16 characters. If this is the issue make your password less then 16 characters.

2. Have Two Step Verification on. Turn off Two step verification.

3. You said it does not allow you to download profile where are you trying to download your profile at on the ONE side of things or on the 360 emulator? Try Downloading your profile on the emulator (if you have not already) by following these steps:

1. Load any 360 game.

2. Hit the start and select buttons (small round buttons on either side of the big xbox button on the controller) this will bring up the 360 guide there will be a choice on that screen to download profile You may have to hit the Y button I believe to
sign out first.

My password is'nt longer and turn off my two step verification.

I trying by xbox one, I start a game backward compatible(for exemplo:Read Dead Redemption) But when I press "Download Profile" it says "Checking Network Status" and then "Can't connect to Xbox
Live. Select test connection to solve connection issues. For more information see www.xbox.com/support." When I press "Test Connection" it jumps back to Xbox One menu testing the connection and there are no issues.

What error do you get when you try and download?

Couple things:

1. Make sure your password is not longer than 16 characters. The 360s including the emulators on the Ones do not like passwords longer than 16 characters so if yours is then change it to something less.

2. If you have two step verification turned on. Either turn it off or use your app password again the 360s including the emulator do not play well with two step verification.

Are you trying to download your profile from the 360 emulator? Or the Xbox One side of things?

Have your changed your password recently?

360s do not like passwords longer then 16 characters. If your password is longer then 16 characters change it to something less.

Have you changed your gamertag recently?

When you change your gamertag you have to go in and redownload your profile.
