I had Dark Souls 1 from "Games with Gold". Now I don't see it in my library anywhere.

Like the title says, I downloaded Dark Souls 1 back when it was free from Games with Gold. Since then, I've looked in my library on several different Xboxes and don't see it, and just recently decided to post about it. Someone told me that they removed all copies of original Dark Souls when the remastered version came out, but that doesn't seem legal to me. I want the game that I paid for.

To answer your inquiry, games you have acquired from Games with gold are not necessarily permanent. It all boils down to the game developer's decision on licensing.

Xbox ambassador XBF Felixx P posted a solution to a user who had a similar issue:

"I would suggest setting up a call back from an Xbox Live support agent by following the steps below. The agent would be able to look into your account and see if you own the license to the game.

Just had to say...

I play most of my games, Dark Souls included, on the PS3 which is why I don't bother spending on a Gold Account anymore. But I come back to these boards from time to time just to see what is going on. As a TRUE gamer I am really glad you X-bots are getting
a chance to play this game. Demon's Souls was one of my top three favorite games of this generation and it is funny reading people's reactions to some of the things in Dark Souls.
