Just a friendly reminder though that the adult age is 18 and if you're still not 18 and up, you may need to ask an adult to help and guide you.

Also, if you're already an adult you can manage it by signing in to https://account.microsoft.com/profile.

Explain that to the people that are trying to play FIFA 13, Madden 2013, Battlefield 3 with an account that has an age of 13 but less than 18. They get the same error, it only goes away when you make an account with an age of 18+.

I say this because my cousin has an account that's was setup at age 15 and attempted to play Battlefield 3 online, purchased it for his birthday and was unable to play online with the same exact error. He had to create a new account with an age of 18 and it
started to work, he lost his gold membership but that was the only game he wanted to play.

What determines if your "too young" or not is your ( Master EA ) account .

That you made when you played your first EA game online on XBL .

Once your birthdate on your EA account is made , it CANNOT BE CHANGED .

Therefore , whatever age you set it at , presumably accidentally .

Is too young to play on EA Online . ( 13+ Age Req . ) .

Many people have been having the same problem as you , either being too young to play the game according to EA's TOU or because they have set their age accidentally low when (s)he created their account with EA .

Since I don't work at Epic or Microsoft, this is pure speculation on my end, but as others already mentioned, this behavior happens, when the account of your child is under the age of 13 according to the birthdate entered into the Xbox account.

When I created my PSN and Nintendo accounts, I wasn't asked for my birthdate (the accounts were created long ago on a PS3, Vita and 3DS, I don't know if the birthdate is now a requirement for PS4 and Switch).

So it COULD be, that Xbox transmits a birthdate when linking the Xbox Gamertag with an Epic account, and if that birthdate shows the kid's age to be below the age of 13, and some child protection laws prohibit to collect personal data of children under the
age of 13, it might be that Epic prevents cross platform gameplay if the child is under the age of 13.

So please
contact Epic support for that issue, as this seems to be a problem how Epic handles younger children accounts for Xbox.

Can someone tell me how to make it so that I can change my account age since it says "Player too young" even though I'm well over 13. I think that when I created my account I might have accidentally made my birthdate set to 1999 cause that's the premade
on, since I didnt think it would actully matter. And I would appreciate it if it would be without making a new account since I have about 10k gamerscore. Please help me!
