I had a Gift Card expire a day early phone support wont assit. What can I do about this?

I had a gift card the was said to expire on 9/11/2018 I went to use it on the 11th as I was hoping to add more to it through microsoft points. I went to use it and it was already deleted from my account. I called Microsoft account support and I all got was
a run around say it was based on a time stamp.. though no where on my account did it say that it had to be used before a set time on the 11th it just said I had up to the 11th to use it.

All I asked for is it to be reinstated as it was not fair to me that there was nothing on the account stating that I had until X time to spend it that it said the 11th only and that that should mean I have all of the 11th to spend as it was not stated anywhere
on my account page that there was a time stamp on digital gift card.

There saying that there is nothing that they can do and direct me here. I feel this is almost theft as I according to the information that provided on my account attempted to use my funds on the correct day and no where did it say that there was a time stamp
that they claim was there even though they couldn't even tell me when the time stamp was for. All I get was well we are sorry but to bad.

There has to be something that can be done about this?

Xbox live

I previously went on to a trip to mexico and im from the U.S. and i saw my xbox live was going to expire in a couple of days so i went to the store, and bought 2 gift cards , an xbox live gift card and a normal gift card, i went
home and couldn't reddem the gift cards because it said it was from mexico and im in the U.S. so i changed my location to mexico and it accepted it and i forgot about the other gift card and i was so busy i had to take the gift card to the U.S. so i took
my trip to the U.S. and im trying to redeem it and it says that i cant redeem it even though i put my location to mexico it still wont accept it so please can you help me with this

 

My account balance went poof

I had about $10 in my account one day, the next day it was gone. I checked my payment history and I have bought nothing. Where did my money go??I got this money from a $10 dollar gift card, so what do I do??? Can microsoft give my money back, or do something???

 

Only thing you could do is try contacting support again, but generally once they expire, nothing else can be done.

 

The time stamp is locked on most codes.

The date is before the use of the said date on the code.

If the code is passed due date there is nothing you can do. Always use the codes before the due date

 

Most Microsoft codes don't expire until the year 2039.. Which is almost 20 years from now. You might wants to contact us again see what your options are. Make sure you have a proof of purchase just in case. You can also visit a Microsoft store at your convenience.
