I got the same error MSG for HALO 2

I have the same problem i got the original HALO 2 for the xbox and i got the xbox360 slim with 4gb. Later I bought a 250gb HDD on ebay for like $50 good price it looked original but on the package there is no licensing or anything indicating that it is a
microsoft HDD the HDD it self looked identical but it didnt say (Xbox 360) the package looked very cheap the HDD didnt. I read the previous article and i have the same problem but when i go to my storage unit on my 360 were it lists all my devices it says

all 3 devices

Hard Drive Microsoft

Xbox 360

Cloud Storage

I have also tried this offline but it didnt work, it gave me hope to ask and investigate because it does say Microsoft next to my hard drive icon on my xbox on the HDD it selft there is no (Microsoft) on it

Ok i have the same problem i cant got into my xbox payment settings because i keep getting this error msg and ineed 2 delete my mom crdit card so please reply 2 me Please as so as possible

 

It sounds like the Hard Drive is not an official one, hence why Original Xbox games will not work on it.

 

As Maxen13 stated, it's counterfeit. You cannot realistically spend $50 on a $250+ piece of technology and expect it to be genuine.
