I can see that you're having trouble changing your password. If you no longer have access to the phone number associated with your account, you can try resetting your password using your email address instead. Here are the steps to follow:



1. Go to the Microsoft account sign-in page and click on "Forgot my password."

2. Enter your email address and follow the prompts to verify your identity.

3. Once you've verified your identity, you'll be able to reset your password and create a new one.

If this doesn't work proceed with the following steps.

1. Go to https://account.live.com/acsr and enter the email address, phone number, or username of the account you are trying to access.

2. Please enter an email address that we can use to contact you about your request.

3. Enter the characters you see on the screen to prove that you are not a robot and select Next.

4. A screen will appear asking you to verify the contact email address. Check for a message from us in the email with the security code, enter that code, and select Verify.

5. Fill in as much information as you can, even if you're not sure. See Tips for filling out the recovery form below.

6. Select Send when you're done and we'll respond within 24 hours.

i tried to change my phone number because its been a year that I've had a new one and when i tried to change it i got asked for a pin that was going to be sent to my old phone number but i got a option to send a security email to my second email but when i put my information on the email to try and change my number i was told that my information was going to be transferred and i could do anything with my account. I called support and asked for help but i was just told that my account will be locked after 30 days which I don't want. All I wanted to do was change my old phone number to my new one.

Yes, I was checking the availability of a name I did want, Dankius, but with no numbers. The language the page used was so subtle it made it sound as though the numbers at the end wouldn't show up. But obviously that isn't the case. I was Blade XY7, and
now I've changed it by accident to Dankius3875, and I just want my old gamertag back, I want to cancel this change.

I cannot change my password because I requested a number change on my account since the old phone number is no longer mine. I have to wait 30 days from the date requested. But thanks for the help! I’ll change my password as soon as I can.
