Thank you for contacting the Xbox support forums. I understand that you have lost your character data after reinstalling Windows. With the initial launch of Minecraft Dungeons, there was an issue that would wipe save data for a character in the game. It may not be possible to recover your exact character, however there is a fix to help prevent you from starting at the very beginning of the game.

There is no error message showing, my first saved data on my normal account just dissappeared so im guessing it got corrupted or something. Then my other account i started using for the game wouldnt let me sign in at all, not even if i got the password
correct, so i tried removing the account from my xbox and putting it back on and then it was as if the account was wiped as there was noting on there at all and now those saved datas from both accounts have gone so ive got nothing.

All i know is if you've got an xbox one DONT play online untill u finish campaign, i did & it wiped all my campaign save data!!

Minecraft Dungeons will be on Game Pass, so if you have the ultimate membership, you should be able to play it on both PC and XBox.

On the Xbox, you can pre-load the Minecraft Dungeons now ready for launch.
