    I got this email this morning saying that Microsoft had initiated my refund request providing a reference number and everything. I compared the email that I received this morning to a previous legitimate email I received in August and everything checked out. So the question is what is this email and why did I get it?

    And just to confirm, the email was sent to the same email address that's associated with your account? What is the sender's email?

    Yes it was sent to the same email that’s associated with my account. The sender used the email *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. ***

    The email for the previous refund request I issued in August used the same address. - *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. ***

    I got an email this morning saying that Microsoft had initiated a refund request. I haven’t refunded any games so why is this email here?

    It doesn’t state what the refund is for and there are no pending refunds when I login to Xbox Refunds to check if anything was initiated. To my knowledge no one else has access to this account.
