I got an account from an older relative, will anything happen if I change the birth date...

Once the date of birth is set on a account it can't be changed.

Also,accessing someone elses account is against the rules,even if they gave it to you.

I set my birth date to 2016 by false and now can't change anything like region and date birth

The date of birth on your xbox profile will always be set to the date of birth originally chosen when you created your account. Even if you change the date of birth on your associated Microsoft account.

If you have account restrictions due to the false date of birth then changing the date of birth will not lift those restrictions.

However none of the account details, including birth date and age, should affect any game progress or delete anything. So changing your child’s birth date on their account shouldn’t change anything.

Sorry this happened... Question, did you check the date of birth listed on your account? Because if it was entered wrong this date cannot be changed. If you entered an incorrect date of birth when you created the account, your only option is to create a
new account using the correct date of birth.

Once you enter a date of birth when you start your account it is then set in stone & can't be changed.

Although you may have changed to date of birth on your Microsoft account it will not change on your xbox live profile so all you can do is wait until your profile is 18 years or older.
