i got a message that my account could be compromised so i changed my password and cancelled...

When I enter my email into the first box it says that my information is correct, so I change my password but then it changes the password for another account I made because when I first got my account compromised my email changed to the account then I somehow made another account with the email that was originally on the account

Has anyone tried changing password to account? Are you able to login on microsoft.com?? What happened when account was locked? Did you enter in password and it was instantly locked? was it tried a couple times then locked?

Before i got locked out, i recieved a text message that my account has been compromised so i should log in to change my password which i did. Mind you, i did this on a pc not from my phone. After that, i made a purchase on skype to make calls. Skype kept
on logging me out then the next morning i got a notification that ive been locked out of my account for some privacy violation i have no idea what that is.

Mine got "Fifa hacked" a few weeks ago, gave support a ring and within 2 days I had received my MS points back and all seems to be secure now.

Change your password ASAP and I'd also recommend changing your EA account if you have one as I believe thats how the hackers get in, also make sure your password for other gaming accounts are changed as the hackers also got into
my blizzard account, they even had the nerve to send an email to blizzard support asking to wipe my account, also is sorted...for now.

So I don't understand this at all. Having changed my password and recovered my gamertag to my console last night, somehow the scammer took back control of the account, changed the password again, and continued emptying the account of its remaining points.

How is this possible? I admit I used the same new password for Xbox Live and my EA account yesterday (because I needed to change both passwords rapidly). I had never used that password before for anything else though. Yet somehow the scammer got access to
my account again almost immediately.

I am 100% certain he does not have access to the e-mail address associated my with Xbox account, nor do I think he could know the answer to the secret question. So how was he able to gain access again?

I called Microsoft today and have opened an investigation, but I am very concerned that either Xbox Live or EA have a serious vulnerability in their systems.

I have once again recovered my gamertag and changed my Live password, to a unique value that I will only ever use for this. So if it gets compromised again, the problem has to be with Live.

That will not work. I already tried that. I even tried to recover it with someone from Xbox support.
