No. There's no way around region locking.

If you bought a gift card from another region, go to your setting and change the region of the xbox to the region you bought the gift card from, Redeem it, and then you can bo back to your previous region.

Since you're on a different region, it's not possible for you to redeem the gift code in your location because it came from another region. Gift cards or gift codes have geo-restriction and can only be redeemed to the same region where it was originating.

The only way you can 'gift' points is if you are a part of the Family Gold Plan and even then you can only gift to accounts within that plan. If you are not a FGP account then the answer is no.

Another way around this is to buy a points card (keep in mind they are region specific so if your friend is out of country it would need to be from his/her region) and message/e-mail them the code to redeem.

Gifts are set up by region and will not be redeemable if it was purchased from a different region. Changing consoles region to another region falsely will not change the outcome. The only option would be to have the person that purchased the gift to attempt
to reverse the purchase of the gift as the code will not be able to be redeemed in a different region. Refund Webform
