If you are referring to the free trial that is added for having purchased a laptop that grants the subscription, unfortunately it is not possible to make the promotion appear, as it is associated with the PC and its hardware components that you originally purchased.

In any case, you could try to contact support through the contact page, but it is important that you have clear expectations about what I mentioned above.

Not easily, my laptop does not have a built in Ethernet jack. I can try a USB adapter at some point. I am not sure what this will prove though since my Xbox streaming works when the Xbox is on wireless. I get lag after a few minutes if the Xbox is wired.
Both scenarios the laptop is wireless so that should eliminate the laptops wireless connection as a possible issue.

I am having the same issue after the April 2018 Windows 10 update on my laptop. I had also seen this on my tablet, but it will eventually work itself out on my tablet. Sometimes I just have to delete the app and reload to get it to work on my tablet.
If I delete the app from my laptop and reload, it will eventually work. This only started happening about 2 weeks ago on my tablet and immediately after the Win 10 4/2018 update on my laptop. And despite the notification to find the meaning of this error
code on the Faq sheet, it is not there nor can it be found on the XBox site.

i claimed the game pass when i got the laptop 5 months ago, i woke up yesterday morning and it wouldn't let me access any of my games. Because i couldn't access the games i opened up the xbox app and when i looked it asked me to buy the game pass. But i am 100% certain that it gave me a 36 month game pass with the laptop and i know this because i double checked it and then sold my xbox because i use my laptop more. I still cannot access the games.
