    Yeah my monitor is a 1440p 144hz LG. It seems like everyone in this thread is having issues with 1440p monitors. I fixed the problem by switching my resolution to 1080p whenever I want to record footage.

    I’m wondering does the One X download the extra files for the enhanced games even if gaming on a 1080p screen?

    Surly if it does, then theres improvement to be had there.

    As a 1080p, Xbox One S user, I was wondering if its worth the upgrade too or just wait until Project Scarlet comes out. I will eventually get a 1440p/144hz monitor :)

    Xbox one X 120 HZ using 1440P

    Make sure you're plugging it into the HDMI 2.0 port and not the HDMI 1.4 port, you may be in the wrong one.

    And also, some monitors just don't support 1440p at 120-144hz, some only support it at 1080p 120-144hz. It's an HDMI and screen limitation.

    I believe the issue is that the monitor is 144hz by default which the xbox does not support, and the way gaming monitors interact with settings on PC are very different on XBOX. So you're likely to always be restricted to 1080p/120hz or 1440p/60hz

    So the Xbox will not do 144hz. You can increase your refresh rate to 120Hz for 1080p and 1440p resolutions. Your display must support 120Hz
    over HDMI. Be careful as a lot of monitors only support higher refresh rates on the Display port and not on HDMI.

    My advise would be to set the monitor at 60hz 1080p.
