I get stopcode: VIDEO_DXGKRNL_FATAL_ERROR. How do I fix this?

Try this:

Go to Settings > Display > Graphics. Find your game in the list and click Options. Select the High performance radio button for the the GTX 1650. Click save and try the game again.

I tried it. Didn’t work.

Try clearing your graphics driver completely using a free (and safe) app called DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller. Then, installing it again fresh.



Part 1

1. Go to the Nvidia website and download the graphics card driver. Manually search for the driver, don’t use the GeForce Experience link.
   
2. Store the driver somewhere safe (you’ll need it later).
   
3. Download DDU. The download links can be found by scrolling down a little. The download button at the top of page is an advert for an unrelated application.
   
4. Run DDU. Select NVIDIA from the Graphics driver drop down. Then click the ‘Clean and restart’ button. Note, this may take up to 5 minutes to complete, depends entirely on the speed of your PC and how many old driver files needs to be removed. The process is automated and will re-boot the PC when it is finished.
   
   
   

Part 2

1. Find the Nvidia driver file you downloaded earlier and run it to re-install your graphics driver. Note: When you reboot, everything will be rather large, this is normal as you don’t have a graphics driver installed yet.
   
2. After the driver has been installed you can run your game again.
