The best thing I would suggest you to do is to add a phone number or an alternative email address on the accounts. It can be your phone number and email. This way if you forget the kid account email address or password, you can use your phone or email to receive a reset link and will not even need the recovery form.

Do you know the password for your old microsoft account? Is the alternate email address still good? Is the phone number you gave still good?

Do you remember if you registered a phone number or alternative email to the account. If you did you can use that to get part of your email to help you remember.

At the sign in page:

Sign in options>Forgot username>Enter phone number or alternative email

Hey, thanks for the help guys but also what I forgot to say is that I have 2-step verification on the account but the hacker has changed my phone number but not my alternative email, is there any chance I can get a recovery code even if my account got
hacked?

Lets say that I lost my phone or I changed my number, so that defeats the point of that. Also the same with email addresses as well, lets say I forgot my password on another account. So is there something else like a private securtiy question that can be
added, that I only know the answer to.
