    I figured out HOW TO use RTX Resource Packs for survival worlds


    METHOD 1:

    Look up the article: Minecraft with RTX PBR Texturing Guide on the NVIDIA website and find the links to four available RTX Resource Packs.

    HD Decorative Resource Pack by NVIDIA
    HD Foundational Resource Pack by NVIDIA
    Muddle RTX by Razzleberries
    RazzleCore RTX by Razzleberries

    Unzip the files and place the folders in the following directory:

    C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\games\com.mojang\resource_packs

    Load out your world with one of the resource packs on and enjoy!

    METHOD 2:

    Download any of the free world downloads from the Marketplace. The custom resource packs for these worlds are located at:

    C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\premium_cache\world_templates\[WORLDID]\resource_packs

    Just copy the rp0 folder and rename them and move the copied folder to:

    C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\games\com.mojang\resource_packs

    Delete the signatures.json file

    These resource packs should now show up in your world edit screen, so you can use them in your survival worlds.

    Minecraft overworld skin

    To use a world skin on your world, go on to the world settings. There will be an option for "Resource Packs". The world skin that you have converted should be listed on the Resource Pack section. To use it click on the "+" icon. This will put the skin at
    the top which means it will be on that world.

    Add-On (resource pack) doesn't work in Minecraft Realms

    I figured out the problem.

    When creating a Minecraft resource pack, you have to create 2 new UUIDs and put them in the manifest.json file.
    I did this but I used Visual Studio to create the UUIDs (by using the "Create GUID" tool). Visual Studio creates UUIDs with capital letters (ABCDEF). Minecraft wouldn't download/install the resource pack because of this. Everything worked fine once
    I used a different tool to create the UUIDs - a tool that uses lower case letters (abcdef): https://www.uuidgenerator.net/version4

    Just to be clear. Did you download a world/texture from the game marketplace, create your world and activate the pack in ''resources packs'', confirm, create the world and then go to the game settings to activate ray tracing?
