Hello, Parental lock the profile. Have him have to ask for permission anytime he wants to download anything.

I set up the EA subscription on my own account and want to share it with my son (child account) and don’t know how. He wants to play the free trail of FC24 but I don’t want him to log into my profile to do it. Any ideas?

Did you find a solution to this? I have the exact same issue including the very same behavior when trying to download software and updates on my Xbox Series S. I also have problems downloading files using browsers like Chrome and Edge, where downloads usually end in a few seconds with a network error message.

Downloading on Steam and Epic Store works fine. Streaming YouTube and other services work fine. Doing speed tests always result in 940/940 Mbps. Downloading on phones and tablets work fine.

The ONLY affected hardware is my Microsoft Xbox and my Microsoft Windows PC, specifically the Microsoft Xbox app and the Microsoft Store and browsers.

The weird thing is that when I changed my Xbox from using Ethernet to using wifi, downloads suddenly worked just fine. I can’t try this on my PC since it only has ethernet. However, Steam and all apps except for Microsoft apps and browsers download just fine using Ethernet.

I don’t understand what this is.

I had the same issue and resolved it by downloading the Microsoft Family Sharing App. From there I was able to open my childs profile and access everything under the "spending" section. Hope this helps!

Also just wanted to mention that sometimes the games or add-ons don’t download immediately for me. I had to go to My Games & Apps and find the game in Ready to Download section and have to click to download them to the console.
