I don't understand why Mojang ended the free redemption of the Windows version.

Yep, Mojang stopped giving away free codes with the following message: "The offer to download your free copy of Minecraft Windows 10 Editon expired back in April 2020. Thus, unfortunately, you will have to purchase it from the Microsoft Store". Unfortunately there is nothing we can do about it, company's policies. Had a lot of friends who forgot to redeem theirs so yeah I understand the frustration.

It is with the same eMail and everything that I redeemed it to. On Mojang it says when I redeemed my code for Java it came with Windows 10 for free. Not temporarily. It done this twice with my installation process. On the same eMail too. I don't understand
why.

When you redeemed your Java Minecraft on Mojang, you have gotten a 5x5 code to redeem Minecraft on the Windows 10 store.

This redemption is a separate service of your Mojang account, and it's possible to use a Microsoft Account email that is different from your Mojang account email.

Mojang (which gives you Java Minecraft) is separate from the Microsoft Windows Store App, which uses a Microsoft Account email when you redeemed that 5x5 code.

After redemption of that code, the Windows 10 Minecraft is tied to the Microsoft Account email you used on your Windows 10 PC. From then on, you don't really need the Mojang account anymore, if you only want to play on Windows 10. You will then get the game
from the Windows 10 store only, with the E-Mail account you used on the Windows 10 store during code redemption.

So make sure you are signed in with the Microsoft Account email (which might not necessarily be the Mojang account email) when you use the Windows 10 Store app to re-download your Windows 10 Minecraft again.

Where do I find the save files in Windows 10 version? I found a folder named saves and it has 2 worlds in it but both are from Minecraft for pc version not windows 10 version... Yes I have both on my pc... Also, if I uninstall the Windows 10 version can
I download it again? I got the windows 10 version for free when I bought Minecraft for pc. The mojang website next to Windows 10 version says redeemed... How would I go about redownloading when it was a free download to begin with?

Thanks for asking this question on the Xbox forums. In regard to any codes for a free version of Minecraft for Windows 10 with the purchase of Minecraft Java version, that would need to come directly from Mojang. According to their website, "Players
who have purchased Minecraft: Java Edition before October 19th, 2018 can get Minecraft for Windows 10 for free by visiting their Mojang account."

Should you like to check your ability to claim this code, I recommend following the instructions provided in the Mojang Support article entitled
Minecraft for Windows 10.
If it is determined that you're not eligible, then you would need to purchase that particular version in order to use it.
