I dont understand how the reward system actually works, how do you gain credits?

In order to earn credits, you need to complete offers on the site. All offers for earning credits are listed on the Missions page of the site. Purchases you make (with the exception of subscriptions, in-game consumables, and preorders) will also count towards
your VIP level (star levels, listed on the MyRewards section of the site). Once you have at least 1 star level, you will also earn VIP rebates on purchases you make that are not included in other offers.

Once you earn credits, they are added to your Rewards account as pending credits. Credits are automatically deposited by the following 15th or 30th of the month after you have at least 5,000 pending or you can request a deposit once you have at least 1,000
pending and they will be deposited on the date listed on the site at the time that you make the request. Once credits are deposited, they are converted into currency and added to your Microsoft account balance (the same place currency goes when you add a gift
card to your account). You can use the currency system to purchase any digital games/content on the Xbox store (subscriptions cannot be purchased using currency).

You can earn Xbox Live Rewards Credit in two ways:

1. By finishing the offers located on the MyMissions page at https://rewards.xbox.com/mymissions/ .

2. For non-offer purchases, you can earn Credits by earning a one star MyVIP level through purchasing at least $300 USD or regional equivalent of eligible content. After you receive your first star you will begin to earn a percentage of your eligible purchases
back as payback Rewards Credit. Pre-orders, in-game consumables, and subscriptions are not eligible for MyVIP.

In September 2014 we changed to the MyVIP policy. As a result, payback based off Gamerscore (MyAchievements) was discontinued. Also, as of July 2014, we do not award Credits for Xbox Live Gold renewals. MyVIP has a recalibration every year. At the end of
the year, we place you in your MyVIP rank for the new year based off your eligible spending from the previous year, and set your progress to the default state. This happened in September 2015 and December 2016. Since you are a zero star member, you do not
get payback Credits on your purchases. You can check your current MyVIP level/progress at (https://rewards.xbox.com/myrewards/).

We see that the bulk of your purchases have been in-game consumables (things like FIFA Points, Call of Duty Points, etc). These purchases are not eligible for MyVIP, and do not award payback.

Regarding your pending Credits, we only automatically schedule a deposit at 5000 or more pending Credits, so your Credits are still pending in your Rewards Account. At 1000 or more pending Credits, you can request a deposit as currency for the next available
deposit date. This currency is added to your Microsoft Account.

Do you not understand how kickstarter works? You pledge a certain amount and dependent on your pledge you get a reward. One of those rewards is a t-shirt. So your complaining that they are actually fulfilling there promises?

It depends on if the points are still pending or have been deposited. Once you complete an offer, credits are added to your Rewards account as pending. They remain pending until the following 15th or 30th of the month after you have at least 5,000 pending.
Once they are deposited, they are added as currency to your Microsoft account balance. You would use that balance as your payment method when making a purchase.

We see that these Credits were successfully deposited on October 26th. This means they were converted into Currency and placed into your Microsoft Account, which you can confirm via your commerce page at (https://commerce.microsoft.com/).
This currency can be used by selecting your Microsoft Account as your method of purchase. Keep in mind that promotional Credits like Rewards Credits are used first, so if you have already made a purchase using your Microsoft Account as the payment method,
those funds may no longer be available.
