I don't receive chat messages or party invites

Messages and party invites sent to my account just don't show up, not on my console, not in the Windows app, not in the phone app. After a lot of Googling, I've ended up trying these fixes:

- Checked notification settings were on

- Cycled my console, unplugging everything, waiting 30 seconds, plugging everything in, and turning it back on

- Turned off all notifications, removed my profile from the console, cycled my console, added my profile, turned notifications back on

- Reset my console to factory settings

- Checked and adjusted my privacy settings

Still nothing. The fact that this is also a problem in the Windows app and phone apps leads me to believe this is tied to my account and any fixes involving the console itself are a waste of time, but I tried them anyway. I used to occasionally receive messages from Xbox, but the last one was sent back in March, so I'm guessing the problem started a little after that. Would appreciate some help.

Thanks for the reply! My NAT type is open, and it says I have a perfect record.

But after connecting my console to my phone's hotspot, I was able to receive a message. And it popped up on my phone and PC too. So this has something to do with my connection? I should mention that my brother also has an Xbox and plays on the same network as I do. I'm not sure if that could cause problems or not.

EDIT: I'm not sure why or how, but after going back to the wired connection, everything seems to be fixed. Thanks for your help.

Open the panel by pressing the Xbox button in the center of the controller.

Scroll right on the panel to the System area.

Select Settings.

Select Network.

Select Network Settings.

Select NAT Test Type.

Enter here, log in with your account, and read the information on the screen in green, where it says if you have a perfect record, or in orange, saying that you have punishments/restrictions

Does your cell phone have mobile data to be used in hotspot mode?

If so, connect your console to this network created by your cell phone, and ask a friend to send you an invite.

Remember, it needs to be on the same platform.

Xbox is up and running except for friends lists and sending or receiving messages/party invites/ friend requests/private chat invites so on and so on.

the Xbox app doesn't really support parties but support party chats. party chat is a message you send to your friends who want to join your party.

here is how to work it. creat a party and located at the top is says invite select your friend who you want to invite they should receive a message all they have to do is click it and they will join.

Also, do you receive ANY invitations? I don't receive ANY invitations. Not to party chat, not to any multiplayer games. Nothing. They don't even show up in the invitation history on the social tab in the Xbox Guide. It's like they just go into a black hole.

Edit: I do receive voice chat invitations (like from the mobile app) but I think those are actually sent as Xbox text messages, which I still receive fine. Party and game invitations are completely a no-go, though.
