I don't know what microsoft account my minecraft is attached to

I've had Minecraft for over ten years and haven't had any issues before the forced-migration. Since then, it was fine at first but when my computer logged me out, I've been totally stuck. I cannot, for the life of me, figure out what email I attached my Minecraft account to. I don't use Microsoft in general so any accounts I have were created in-the-moment and when they were required. None that are linked to my phone number or my regular email have my Minecraft purchase on them. I have confirmation emails that the account was migrated but they don't show any additional details. I know my Minecraft username, and I have a potential Microsoft "gamer tag" that appears on my launcher that I can't properly access (due to not knowing the account information).

Is there any way to get this account back or figure out what email I need to be trying to get back into? I'm confident I could answer security questions, etc, and I know a fair bit of my old mojang information, but I'm stumped in terms of finding out where my Minecraft account went. Mojang said it's out of their hands since the account has migrated. Any help is appreciated!

As you don't remember the account email used to migrate your account, I can advise you to fill the account recovery form, in that way you're going to submit a ticket with Microsoft account recovery team https://account.live.com/acsr

You can try all the emails you remember or if you had a phone number attached to the account, you can use that too.
Sadly, an account cannot be recovered with the gamertag alone.

Yeah, the backup email is not mine, when I click on the link it says I'm already signed into that account, but I cannot log into Minecraft still

I am very sorry that you are going through this situation. Please note that Microsoft support cannot tell you your email address, even if you know your gamertag. They only offer some steps to identify the email if the account is open on other devices, you can check it here

When this happens, users must identify if they sent an email to someone from their account, so they can check with that person for the email address from which they received the message.

Additionally, if you have an active subscription you can log in to this site from any other account.

In the “Transactions” section select “Investigate” and enter the data requested regarding the payment of your subscription, this way the system will give you a clue of the account from which the payment came from.
