    I don't get the discounts of the Xbox Rewards program


    I have not received the program discounts for games that are purchased, they are always charged at full value. In addition renewed my Xbox Live 1 month ago and have not yet entered the points program.

    Microsoft Rewards MyVip Rank

    Since the VIP program was only available on the Xbox Rewards program it's not available through the Microsoft Rewards program. If you had a star level in the Xbox Rewards program that was transferred to the Microsoft Rewards program, you'll keep those benefits
    until December 31, 2018. Otherwise the Microsoft Rewards program has 2 tiers. Level 1 and Level 2. You have to earn a certain amount of points each month to reach level 2 (which should only take a couple of days) and then you earn discounts on the items you
    can redeem from the program and earn up to 20 points back on every $1.00 you spend.

    Xbox rewards program updated

    Many of you may remember how due to the change from Microsoft points to actual currency, the rewards program was shut down. Well it's now back with a whole new reward scheme. Awarding gamers with everything from currency credit to discounts on purchases. The basic idea is everything you do gives you point and then eventually you can redeem said points in exchange for in-store currency. Your get points for doing everything from making purchases to simply playing games. Gamers with a high gamerscore even get a discount on purchases.

    The rewards program does not offer discounts in the Xbox Store. Are there any specific offers you're looking for credits from? In order to receive credits, your purchases either have to be eligible for a specific offer on the site at the time, or you need
    at least 1 star level in order to receive VIP rebates. Rebates are calculated after the end of the month and given by the 15th of the next month.

    As of July 1, 2014, there are no offers to receive credits for renewing gold.

    There are no discounts from our program. If you are asking about MyVIP, we payback a percentage of purchases as Credits which can be used as currency from your Microsoft Account. You can view a statement of your Credits on the MyRewards page in the MyStatement

    Xbox Game Pass Student Discount

    Oh, actually, now that I took a closer look I don't think it's even possible to use the rewards program to redeem Game Pass subscriptions or games where I live. So yeah, paying is the only legal option for me and likely a lot of others.

    Even then, the existence of a rewards program doesn't invalidate how useful a student discount would be.

    Multiple free games every month, rewards program, retailer discounts on memberships. I think they do a solid job giving us reasons to stay and offering promos to get people back.
