Hello Mike V, My name is David. I am an independent advisor, happy to help you today.

I understand that you are having problems with your Xbox One S after a factory reset. Below I leave you some possible solutions:

Hard reset and power cycle: Press and hold the power button on the console for about 10 seconds until it turns off, and then remove the power cable from the Xbox and the outlet for about 2-3 minutes. Then plug it back in and turn on the Xbox.

Factory reset with a USB flash drive: If the console is still stuck at 50% when preparing, then I would suggest performing a factory reset with a USB flash drive.
    You will need to:

A Windows PC with an Internet connection and a USB port.
A USB flash drive with a minimum of 4 GB of space formatted as NTFS.
Clear MAC address: Go to your network settings, click advanced network settings, alternate MAC address, select clear, then reboot. Your console will reboot at that point.

Thank you for your kindness and understanding! Please feel free to let me know if you need anything else.

    Best regards.

Cannot play any games on my Xbox series S

Sorry for the delay, yes, I was logged in with my xbox profile but it was asking for my guest passkey. I got off the phone about an hour ago with a support representative stating he will call me back but never did. I got to the point to get to the factory reset screen but it keeps going back to the screen where it asks me to log in with my controller.

Xbox one, one s, one x slow upload issue “HELP”

Hi nestor. Thanks for trying to help. I did try the factory reset 3 weeks ago with no change. I also did manuel port selection and power cycled, all while on the phone with an xbox live rep. It had no effect. I have took my xbox one x and hooked it up
to a hot spot, a verizon ISP, and even a winstream ISP, and i got all speed i was suppose too. I have asked cox communications to take an xbox one s/one x and please run a speed test on the cox network so they can see the upload issue, but to no avail.

Xbox Series X May 12 update broke my audio

Same thing just happened to me. I did a hard reset on console and a factory reset and nothing. I can only hear audio from my headset and nothing from my tv. No one asked for this update….. all it did was break my Xbox.

    Xbox 360 Update 23/2/12

i was getting this issue earlier and i tried two things.. i tried to reset the network settings to default and created a new offline profile for testing. I made sure i was disconnected to XBOX Live and signed in with the new offline profile. I tried to
play Fruit Ninja Kinect, it just asked me to sign in (i chose the new offline profile again) and its a go! i then tried the existing offline profiles and they now work... either the steps helped or MS already fixed it.

to reset network settings to default...

    - Select your wireless network name, if you are prompted to do so.

    - Select Configure Network.

    - On the Additional Settings tab, select Restore to Factory Defaults. When you are prompted, select Yes, restore factory defaults.
