I deleted Xbox App from my computer and cant install now... HELP??

So I made the mistake to delete the Xbox app to clear space. I deleted the app by using right click and then down to delete, in the file explorer. Now when I try to download the app, I receive an error code of : 0x80073D05

I've looked this up on google but haven't found nothing. I've tried to delete the app the PowerShell and nothing happened when I did that.

Any help would be great. I'm just trying to play some games from the game pass.

    Thanks

    :)

I deleted Xbox App from my computer and cant install now... HELP??

    Hi Galaxy Rhyme,

Welcome to the Xbox Community Forum. Thank you for sharing your concern with us today and we hope that all is well.

We understand that you cannot install the Xbox app onto your PC. Let us check on this together so you can get back to gaming.

There may be corrupted files within the app folder that are causing this issue. Please navigate to C:\Users\(Your Username)\AppData\Local\Packages and try deleting the folder related to the Xbox app. If it won't let you delete the folder, try moving it into another folder to delete or rename the folder and delete before trying to reinstall the app from the Microsoft Store.

If you are still struggling with this issue, please follow some of the outlined methods below.

    Method 1: Run the SFC

    1. Open Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator
    2. Type sfc /scannow and hit Enter.
    3. Check if issue is resolved
Method 2: Run command in PowerShell

    1. Open PowerShell and select Run as Administrator
    2. Run the command below and press Enter:

      Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
    3. Check if issue is resolved
Method 3: Reset the Windows Store app

    1. Open Run in Windows 10 by pressing the Windows key and R on your keyboard at the same time.
    2. After that, type wsreset.exe in the dialog box and press Enter.

This will launch the wsreset.exe app. And as the name suggests, this app resets the Microsoft Windows Store in Windows 10 by fixing all the issues related to it. The Windows Store app resets and opens. After reopening, please navigate to the three ellipses on the right (...) and check for updates.
If the problem persists, you can reinstall the application through PowerShell. Be careful when entering commands in PowerShell.

Method 4: Reinstall the Microsoft Store via PowerShell

    1. First, open Windows PowerShell in Windows 10 as an administrator by pressing the Windows key + X on your keyboard and selecting Windows PowerShell (Admin).
      1. Once you are in Windows PowerShell, type the command below and press Enter:

        Get-AppxPackage -allusers Microsoft.WindowsStore | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_. InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
    2. Windows 10 will reinstall the Microsoft Store app on your Windows 10. Restart your computer and check if the problem has been resolved.
Method 5: Reinstall the Gaming Services Package

Reinstall the Gaming Services package on your Windows 10 device. This can help reset these gaming apps.

    1. Right-click the Start button in the lower-left corner of the main screen, and then select Windows PowerShell (Admin).
    2. On the Windows PowerShell Administrator screen, type the following command, and then press Enter:

      Get-AppxPackage *gamingservices* -allusers | remove-appxpackage -allusers
    3. Restart your computer and see if the problem is resolved.
Additionally, if your subscription to Game Pass is active then you can download any Game Pass games from the Microsoft Store rather than through the Xbox App.

We look forward to your response. Kindly let us know if these suggestions help. Additionally, if there is any misunderstanding or clarification needed, please reply to this response.

    Sincerely,

I deleted Xbox App from my computer and cant install now... HELP??

    Hello Galaxy Rhyme,

Thank you for the update. Have you tried resetting the Windows OS? You can do so by going to Settings > Update & Security > Recovery and then select Get Started under Reset this PC. You can choose between Keep my files and Remove everything. We recommend selecting Keep my files first and only use Remove everything if Keep my files does not work.

Resetting the OS might help as you may have caused some kind of corruption when you first deleted the application, since you deleted it via the File Explorer and not through the Apps and Programs panel. The troubleshooting that was provided in the first response are known solutions to this problem, so if they did not work for you then perhaps a reset might help.

We look forward to your response.

    Hi Galaxy Rhyme,

Thanks for the update. What is telling you to download games through the Xbox app and not the Microsoft Store? Any game on Game Pass can be downloaded through the Microsoft Store since it recognizes your subscription.
