I deleted the link to my code

I was told to give my reference number from Xbox support and they redirected me to this link. Why delete my code?

you can delete the 'created' profile without any problems, that won't screw up anything on how the console runs.

If the console came with a redeemable code for that 1 month, you can use that on her account (when it is signed in).

No this didn't. The only link is "I didn't get the code". I clicked it and it took me to a page which asked me to send the code to another email address. But, the only two email addresses listed are my old ones. The new one is not listed. Clicking
on the link "Update Your Information" takes me to a page which asks me to delete my security information.

However, the message says it won't actually delete it until one month later (10/25/2012). There is no indication of what will happen if I delete my security information. Will I be able to login? Will I continue to be able to use my XBox? Will I have
to wait 1 month before resolving the problem?

Please let me know what will happen if I delete my security information.
