    Hello my friend tried to gift me a 3 months xbox live gold but when i tried to claim it, it said That he bought it from another region. Even tho we got the exact same settings on. So im wondering if there`s any chance that he can get his money back I could not use the code that my friend gifted me ? :D.

    You cannot gift or use codes outside of the region they were issued
    Then how would I gift to my friend a code for his birthday?

    I don't know to able to accept the gift code.
    You cant. Your friend will have to request a refund for the code and purchase a code for you that is meant for your region. The region of the code must match the region of your account.

    For me, gifts don't really do much for me. It did when I was a little kid, but not so much anymore. There really isn't anything that I need. I usually tell my friends and family to save the money and use it to buy plane tickets to come see me. Having
    friends and family around me is more of a gift, than any thing you could buy.

    The short answer: you cant

    The long answer: gifting is region locked (something your friend would have gotten a warning about before completing the purchase) so a friend with an account in one country would only be able to gift to other friends with an account in the same country.

    Your friend would have to request a refund from their end.

    Sorry I couldn't give you a better answer. You could always gift the code to a friend you may have in the US or list it for sale on ebay or some other website.
