I click on Join for 1 GBP link for Ultimate Game Pass and nothing happens

I just activated a 24-month Xbox Live Gold subscription tonight. I want to take advantage of the "Join for $1" Game Pass, which will convert my 24 month "Live" subscription to an "ultimate." But I'm very confused as to what will really happen. In one
place, it says "Joining Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will upgrade your remaining Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass for Console or Xbox Game Pass for PC time into Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for the same amount of
time, up to 36 months. All conversions are final. See xbox.com/gamepass for details. " So I think "Oh great, this $1 will upgrade the entire 24 month subscription to "ultimate" for a total of $1." But when I actually click "Join," the message tells
me that I will be charged $1 for the first month and then $14.95/month for every month after that (and that if I cancel Game Pass subscription after the trial period, that I will be cancelling my entire subscription... I like the idea of $1 to permanently
upgrade (for 24 months). But if I click join (and accept terms) and then find out that it is actually $14.95/month and that the only way to cancel is to lose my 24-month prepaid subscription to "Live Gold," then I'd be super unhappy.

There's currently a promotion for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (Which include Gold benefits) for only 1 USD / 1 GBP / 1 EUR for the first month. Maybe that can help you in this current global pandemic?

There's a conversion rate when you swap from XBL Gold or Game Pass to Game Pass Ultimate, there used to be a limited time deal where it would convert it at a 1:1 ratio when Game Pass Ultimate first launched but I don't think that applies anymore. Before
you confirm the conversion to Game Pass Ultimate, it usually tells you how many months your current Xbox Live Gold subscription will convert to.

If you already have Game Pass Ultimate and want to use an Xbox Live Gold code then I think 1 month of Gold or Game Pass gives you 20 days of Game Pass Ultimate.

Nothing has changed. The chart is what would happen if you already have Ultimate and are adding a prepaid Gold or standard Game Pass code to that. Otherwise, anytime you're upgrading from standard Gold or Game Pass to Ultimate, it's at a ratio of 1:1.
