    I Changed to Xbox preview beta and my download is taking to long.


    I just recently switched to Xbox preview beta (3 ish hours ago) and it made me update. Though it has finished the download, for the last 2 hours it has been showing me a dark screen with that little rendering circle in the middle just rotating and I don't know if I should just power off my Xbox or wait a while longer. If anyone has any knowledge on the matter please respond.

    Xbox Preview Program

    You don't accept an invite into the preview program.

    Have you downloaded the app?

    If so then you will have to wait until the preview dash beta has finished which is sometime in November.

    If you haven't downloaded the app then you'll have a long wait as the preview program is full at the moment.

    My xbox formatted itself because of some random update from xbox live and I would like to know why.

    Apparently it was an error with the preview / beta dashboard service - so people on the beta dashboard got the update notice and people who weren't, didn't. Guess that's the risk you take when you choose to test unfinished software. As Spyroman said, once
    I was able to actually log back into Live, all my pins and settinggs were in place and I just had to (sigh) download apps and games again. No big deal in the long run - all the saves and even passwords and such for Netflix app were in "the cloud".

    I don't understand why the never changed the sawed off in the beta stages. Why did it take this long? Was it that the beta 'testers' weren't voicing their opinions enough? Or was it that the "beta" was only to try and suck people in to the franchise?
