    I noticed someone was on my account so I changed my password to my account but changing the password didn't sign them out, ino who it was and he even proceeded to tell me he's never going to turn his Xbox off. I game on PC because my series s was just a scam and cant even run texas chainsaw massacre at 60fps but I signed into my series s with my account on and it also didn't sign my series s out until I did a hard reset by unplugging the power cable and pressing the power button to reset the cache. I changed it twice also and I could turn it off by the power button and back on and it still wouldn't prompt me for the new password, and its doing the same with him. There should be an option to sign accounts out, not remove them from devices because that effectively does nothing but lets you use the warranty , its a terrible system and yes I removed his Xbox from devices and that did nothing. I even reported him and that did nothing, his console should have been immediately banned, but no he went on a rampage and he got my "ambassador" account suspended for 2 days and 2 hours and there is nothing I can do about it. He still has access to my account so I'm doomed. Thanks Xbox for being super useful.

    Just just put it out there, Xbox resolved my end completely in the end.

    Doesn't sign out Xbox's it literally states that. I just changed it again and it also didn't prompt even to sign out of any devices. I just also booted up my series s to see if it would prompt for the new password I just made and it didn't. Ive even removed it from devices and didn't do anything to it.

    Well first when you change your password there is an option

    Sign out of all devices click on it

    Hello Carolyn,

    If you think someone has your account information. We recommend to
    change your password    . You can also remove the devices after you change your password. If someone does know the information, they will not be able to sign in again. Do you have any children? They could of signed in at a friends house and forgot to remove
    the account.

    Being prompted for Microsoft account password to sign in every time.

    I was having the same problem. I went to:

    Settings

    Sign in, security & Passkey

    Password at sign-in - here I change to "Sign in with password", went back in and change to Save my password.

    This fixed the problem for me.

    My problem started after I changed my microsoft account alias yesterday.
