Change the region of the site at the very far bottom left corner of the page and try your Microsoft account balance again.

If you mean you can't change it for free then that would be correct. The free change is only available if you were given a randomly generated tag when you created your account and are changing it for the first time. Since you have a tag of your own choosing,
you will have to pay if you want to change it.

what happens is that when I got my xbox I placed my email and created my account and I did not see a random name but one that is the one that I have now, that is, they did not give me to choose which one I wanted my name to be

The problem is they've changed the constraints you what you can use for a gamertag.

When I used my free change, I couldn't make it what I wanted, after the changes I can now make it how I wanted, but I'd have to pay to do it.

Huh you mean the suffixes ? What did you expect if you want no suffixes come up with a unique name or change the spelljng so it would.be truely unique
