I changed my gamertag and my Xbox and now I am missing DLCs and at least six years of data.

I believe my Xbox profile has lost 6 years of data. On my original Xbox I have been using this account for a long time and then I paid for a profile name change some things happened my parents are getting a divorce my mother took the home Xbox and I am working twords a restraining order against her and legally she can claim that it's her Xbox so that's a lost cause, but when I tried to log into my account on a different Xbox it brought up my old gamer tag and based off of how my avatar looked it has lost around 6 years of data. I have refrained from asking for help because that makes me anxious but I'm trying to play games that involve my EA account and I've sunk a lot of money into DLCs with EA and I can't just transfer them over, I'm willing to start over with my achievements begrudgingly but I cannot pay for all of the DLCs that I have lost. I want to know how to get back my updated gamertag, my data, and my DLCs because I only have access to some of them right now. My old/current account is I changed to Hermitic Hal.

To effectively clarify this issue, you need to contact Microsoft support directly via chat, and you will need to validate your account so that they can verify it.

I never, ever, changed my Gamertag, since I was playing on my Xbox years ago.

It's said that you can change it for free if you didn't choose it. At least, that's my case I think. The one I wanted years ago was taken, Xbox tell me to take the actual one. I kept it for many times, now I'm back because of SoT, but my gamertag feel a
bit oldy too me.

So, why is the Windows charging me 10 bucks now ? Should I not be able to change it for free ?

And how do I contact the support ?

I guess the question when you originally made you tag, did you enter in a gamertag even though your preferred one was taken? While you do have the ability to change your gamertag once at no charge, that is only if the gamertag you have was one that was
a generic one provided at the time of creation. Depending how old your gamertag is, you may have created it before that system was implemented meaning you do not have an option to change your tag for free. In that case that price you see is the standard
cost if you wish to change you Gamertag.

I am not sure if it was because of the system update but the AC IV gamestop DLC is now in the game add ons. However for Madden and Forza, I am still missing my game add ons. When I go into Madden, it says I do not have any game add ons. When I go into Forza,
it shows the free car that I received in an email from Xbox Live. It doesn't show however the free gift that I received in game. But at least I got my AC IV dlc.

Well, am i able to change my gamertag to . They have been inavtive for 8 years + and you said that after 5 years they become available or something along those lines. How could i change my gamertag to this.

i meant i had my gamertag change by xbox after 8 years and my i say agian 8 years of no problems then now i get it changed due to being inappropriate. I didnt even get a chance to pick a new one and they give me some BS gamertag and want me to pay $9.99
for a new one it's all about the money where did my free change of one go let me guess that is the one you gave me huh. Garbage xbox at least show a little loyalty to someone who has spent tons of money and for 8 years. I expected more or a little more reasoning
instead of greed.
