I changed my gamertag and minecraft thinks it's a different account.

Based on the error message, this means that your PSN account is actually associated with a different Mojang/Microsoft email address. I highly recommend you reach out to Mojang Support for further assistance as they have the tools and resources to properly investigate this case:

Unfortunately, Microsoft Xbox does not have tools to manage or see linked 3rd party accounts such as PlayStation, Ubisoft, Steam, Epic Games, etc.

What I mean is there should still be a way to get the game and Gamertag back for no cost. I only play Minecraft, so it isn't as big a deal to lose all the achievements, but there should be a way to keep my Gamertag and the game itself. I want to be able to transfer my Gamertag to a different account. If I delete my Gamertag and change it on my dad's account, then can I set my Gamertag back to what it was originally with no changes to it on my new account?

I have tried to clear cache and reinstall Minecraft but same problem. I have waited 24h since I changed the gamertag so it should have updated. I think the issue is in my microsoft-account since on my Xbox account page it shows both names. I can also change
the gamertag again (without charge it seems) on the Xbox account page (see attached image), but "" is of course taken. So it looks like two different gamertags but on the same microsoft-account.

I installed Minecraft on another android tablet and used another microsoft-account, changed gamertag and this updated immediately.

This is really strange to me, the microsoft account was not hacked, I don't think. I can still access my microsoft account, it is this one currently being used to message. You see I had a gamertag associated with my minecraft account, I went to login one day, and the gamertag had changed and I could not access my account.

Since a gamertag has been generated for my account, the MineCraft launcher no longer allows me to create or change my account's gamertag. However, attempting to change my account's gamertag via https://social.xbox.com/changegamertag provides me with a similar phrase "This gamertag isn't allowed. Try a different one."
