I can’t use Minecraft Realms because of how my Xbox account is set up

All of the sudden my Xbox says I can’t join on Minecraft realms because of how my Microsoft account is set up. The settings are correct and I have tried everything including a factory reset. But nothing works. And i have seen people over the years
with the same problem. Plz help

I just changed my privacy settings, does that change anything? By the way, here’s a picture of it failing:

Thank you for your reply. All privacy settings have been verified and are set to “Active” or “Everyone” so there should be no barrier to multi-player games and join groups.

The problem is not that I can’t join a specific Realm. It’s a general problem. Under Play, Minecraft says says “You need permission. You cannot play on Realms because of how your Xbox Live account is set up. This can be changed in your privacy & online safety
settings on Xbox Live."

Thank you. I will try this. One more question. If it is the Xbox live gold that is the problem. Would it say on Minecraft that I can’t use realms because of Xbox live gold? Just wondering because it says I that it’s not working because the way my Microsoft account is set up. I don’t know if it’s the gold because I feel like it would say something different. I will still try though. Thanks!
