I can't use in-game voice chat anymore on my Series X

I didn't change anything. Worked flawlessly a week ago.

Overwatch shows me a muted symbol all the time, Fortnite tells me that "My teammates want to talk to me but I can't hear them" and I can't hear teammates in Apex that my friend on Discord can hear.

I checked my privacy and online safety settings. All set to everyone in there.

Any idea what my problem is here?

I see, let's try this:

A. Perform a factory reset but keeping games and apps

Go to settings > system > console info > reset and then select keep my games and apps (or if you don't mind select remove everything)

B. Perform an offline update for your console. In that way Xbox system will be installed from scratch.

For this you need a USB and PC to format it and transfer files provided in the link below (with steps and the full requirements):

PS: If you're using an insider build / beta OS you need to first leave the program and go back to an stable OS version, if you don't do that isn't going to work

Are you able to use it properly there?

In case you are trying to use the Discord Voice chat feature. Did you tried re-linking the accounts?
