I can’t unmute

for some reason I can’t unmute some of my friends nothings wrong just won’t let me press unmute

Glitch! Have one friend that keeps defaulting to mute

I have one friend that I can’t unmute. Tried blocking/unblocking and that doesn’t work and the mute/unmute is not working so I can’t unmute in chat or in game chat. Please help!

No, xbox didn't say anything yet

 

Xbox support says they will get back to me on the issue within 24 - 72 hours... they have no clue, they "have teams working on it"

so yeah...

also is it everyone on your friends list? or is it just one person? cuz for me it is only one of my friends. everyone else is fine, just this one person is permanently muted...

Hi all,

If you are still seeing this issue occur let's try a cold boot of the console by unplugging it for a full 5 minutes then check if you are able to un-mute friends. If that does not help then the next step will be to try a

quick factory reset being sure to keep your games and apps installed when asked to do so.
