I can't switch my mojang account to a microsoft one

It tells me to enter a 7 digit code so i check my email, I put in the code, and it says the code is invalid no matter what I do. I put both capital and lowercase letters, I typed it and i copied and pasted it, and nothing works. I really don't want to lose access to minecraft.

Have you tried a new code request? Also this is during the account migration process or to verify the login access of the Microsoft account?

I got minecrat from Microsoft Store. So the account I bought was already a microsoft account. My account has nothing to do with mojang. I can't send verification code because I didn't get it from Mojang. My account is already microsoft account, why do I need verification but? I'm not a Mojang account

You need a different Microsoft account to link your active Mojang account, you can't migrate the account to a Microsoft account that already has one active Mojang account

I migrated one of the 4 Mojang accounts. That is the one I am having issues with. The Mojang account emails are my personal Gmail account with "+NameMinecraft" where Name is their first name. Those Mojang accounts all have paid Minecraft purchases. But because they have a plus in them, I can't use them for a Microsoft account.

I also have a Microsoft account. And the new Microsoft account I got for my son when trying to migrate his account is in my family group. However his Microsoft account's email address is from outlook.com since it would not let me use his Mojang account's email.

I have not contacted support yet. I actually (mistakenly) thought this was a support board. I now realize it's a community site.
