  1. I can't sign in to the Xbox App through PC

    For the past week or so whenever I have tried to sign in through the Xbox app, however it refreshes the page and nothing happens. I can still access and open games, however they ask me to sign in but they have the same problem as the Xbox app.

    A similar issue happened a few weeks back where the solution was to open the Services app in my computer, locate the Xbox related services and set them to Automatic. This solved the issue back then, but this seems to be a different issue.

    :)

    Do you receive any error message when trying to sign in to the Microsoft store? Or it also just refreshes itself and ask for a sign in again?

    Hello, Jesse. Thanks for reaching out. I'm Lucas, an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user just like you. I'll be glad to help you out.

    Would you please reinstall the gaming services and reset the Microsoft store and the Xbox app? Please perform these steps with the Microsoft store and the Xbox app closed and make sure there are no games being downloaded or installed on both apps.

    - Go to start > Search for PowerShell > Right click > Run as administrator. Type the following command and press enter:

    get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

    - Press Windows + R and type in "regedit". Press enter.

    - Search for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services

    - Delete the folders "GamingServices", "GamingServices.net" (if they're still there).

    - Go to Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Microsoft Store > Advanced Options > Repair, then Reset.

    - Go to Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Xbox App > Advanced Options > Repair, then Reset.

    - Press Windows + R. Type TEMP and press enter. Delete all the files inside this folder. Repeat this step by typing %TEMP% and Prefetch. Delete everything on both folders too.

    - Press Windows + R. Type WSRESET and press enter.

    - Restart your computer. Run Powershell as administrator and run the following commands (one at a time):

    Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

    (this command can show you some errors, this is normal, just wait until it finishes)

    start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

    - Install the app on that page and select Yes when you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt. Also sign in on the Microsoft store with your Microsoft account.

    - Restart your computer one more time. Open the Xbox App and sign in with the same account as the Microsoft store.

    - Check your computer region/country and language and please make sure it is the same as your Microsoft account (https://account.microsoft.com/profile). Also check your time zone and date/time is correct.

    Feel free to ask back any questions and please let me know how it goes.

    I followed all of the steps but when I got to signing into the Microsoft Store, it didn't let me. I did continue to restart my computer and open the Xbox app in the hopes of it working without it, but it didn't. Is there a fix for this problem?

    But no error messages are shown, right? In this case, please try the following steps:

    First, see if Windows is updated:

    Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update;

    Click Check for Updates;

    Click Download and Install Now option, if available (check for optional updates too);

    After that:

    - Click on Start > Credential Manager > Windows Credentials. Search for Xbl|DeviceKey, click on it and then Remove.

    - Delete Accounts and Cache folders at:

    %appdata%\Local\Packages\Microsoft.XboxIdentityProvider_8wekyb3d8bbwe\AC\TokenBroker

    - Also delete Microsoft Store local cache files at:

    %appdata%\Local\Packages\Microsoft.WindowsStore_8wekyb3d8bbwe

    - Go to Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Microsoft Store > Advanced Options > Repair, then Reset.

    - Go to Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Xbox App > Advanced Options > Repair, then Reset.

    Restart your computer and try to sign in, please.
