I can't save or play certain games

Try performing a hard reset by pressing the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts off completely. Then unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes.

Since Viva Pinata is a Xbox 360 backwards compatible game, you need to force the emulated Xbox 360 environment to update your changed Username (Gamertag).

To do that, go to the settings, and under storage clear the Xbox 360 storage.

After doing that, restart your Xbox One for good measure.

Then start Viva Pinata, and press both the Menu and View buttons (the small buttons left and right of the Xbox logo button on the controller) to bring up the Xbox 360 Guide menu.

There download your profile again, to force the Xbox 360 to recognize your new Gamertag name.

If you continue to have issues with Xbox One games, remove your profile from the console with these instructions: https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/account-profile/manage-account/add-remove-account-xbox-one

Then add your profile again with the instructions from the same page.

so before i had another username and all games worked fine,i changed my username and now i cannot save or play certain games

for example i wanted to play viva piñata,but, it said i didnt have an active gamer profile and so i tried fixing it but nothing has worked

recently i tried to play the plants vs zombies gw2 while my cousins were over and it said i couldnt log in. it said i needed a working username or log in as a guest.

i have an xbox one and have xbox live if that helps

does anyone know how to fix it???

Right okay I’d like you to either delete your account from the console but keep game files or factory reset the console.

This will remove any corrupt files, we will then we will retrieve the account from xbox live with the new files allowing you to continue playing xbox

That kinda sucks that we can't backup certain game saves without overwriting...
